Not being able to drive has its perks, I suppose. I am chauffeured everywhere I go. I can't get my immobilized leg in the front seat of the car, so I have to sit in the backseat with my leg up on the seat. I'm sure my mother feels like she needs one of those chauffeur caps.
Went to Target last night and got to ride an electric shopping cart. Those things are SLOW. And, they beep when you back up. Note to everyone: If you're on your phone at Target, try to listen for that beeping sound. If you don't, you may get knocked down...because it's really hard to look behind you when you're on one of those things. Trust me...I almost wiped out a lady, who left her cart in the middle of the aisle and kept chatting away. Clue in to your surroundings, lady! Crazy lady on a cart!
This morning, I did go into the office for the first time since my surgery. Two of my sweet co-workers let me try out the company's wheelchair. Nothing like a little door to desk to door service.
Geez...I know as an only child I should be all about being center of attention. But, this is getting to be a wee bit much.
Only two more weeks until I get to bend my leg again (barring any strangeness...accepting prayers, good karma, etc. ... whatever it takes to make this actually happen!)...
