I need to learn how to play chess. How I avoided learning this game of thoughtful strategy in all my years of gifted and talented classes is beyond me. Now, one of my dear friend's 4 year-olds has learned to play chess. He can already skunk me at Stratego, so the thought of further humiliation by this very smart and logical little guy has stoked the fire. Aunt Lee Ann needs to bone up on her strategic thinking anyway, and this seems like a good place to start. Wish me patience...
Oh...Chess: In Concert will be featured on Great Performances on PBS on Wednesday. With Josh Groban, Rent's Adam Pascal and Wicked's(and Rent's) Idina Menzel, it's sure to be worth a watch or a DVR. A musical created by the boys from ABBA and TIm Rice, which features "One Night in Bangkok" and US/Soviet relations ... really, what more could you ask for?
LOVED Idina Menzel's dress!
